Tom Armstrong of White Summers Holds Third in a Series of Open-Office Hours at the Marina Technology Cluster

Marina, Calif., September 22, 2011 — The Marina Technology Cluster (MTC) (http://www.MarinaTechnologyCluster.org), the City of Marina’s technology business incubator, today announced that White Summers Partner Tom Armstrong (http://www.white-summers.com) will once again hold open-office hours at the MTC on Thursday, November 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to speak with regional start-up businesses about incorporation, contract and other legal requirements and needs.

This is the third in a series of sessions Armstrong is holding at the MTC. The first was held in August.

“My goal is to try to set up monthly ‘The Attorney Is In’ sessions at the incubator,” said Armstrong, ‘much like a university professor holding office hours for students.”

White Summers is a corporate and transactional law firm of 9 lawyers and two legal assistants located in Redwood City and Portland. Tom has extensive experience in representing companies and investors in venture capital financings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. His practice includes representation of companies and investors in various industries including life sciences, medical devices, software, internet, consumer goods, cleantech and entertainment. Mr. Armstrong is a member of the faculty of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and has spoken widely on representation and financing of emerging companies. Tom received his BA from Pomona College and his JD from University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
