Ayla Ercin is Counsel for White Summers Caffee & James, LLP’s Portland office. Her practice focuses on the representation of small businesses in all aspects of corporate and transactional matters. She advises clients during initial formation, as they seek and establish financing, and in a wide range of business transactions that include contract drafting and negotiation, trademark prosecution, technology licensing, policies and procedures, mergers and acquisitions, data privacy and other general business matters. She especially enjoys working with startups and companies focusing on food and beverage, apparel, consumer products, cannabis, software products, and technology.
Ayla began her legal career in the corporate department of a large New York law firm where she practiced transactional business law and advised clients on credit agreements, securities transactions, and financings. Ayla went on to work in intellectual property and employment law, advising new businesses seeking to finance and develop entertainment productions, and advising employers in New York City. Ayla relocated to Portland in 2010.
