Outdoor Company Finalists Announced for BOW BreakOut Funding Event
Bend, OR (October 2, 2019)—Bend Outdoor Worx (BOW), Central Oregon’s outdoor industry accelerator, announces the six stage finalists for the 2019 BOW BreakOut to be held October 11th at the Unitarian Universalists Fellowship of Central Oregon, in Bend, Oregon.
30+ outdoor product companies applied to present at this year’s BreakOut 2019 event, the first and only funding event focused solely on the outdoor industry. Three early stage outdoor product companies were selected to pitch on stage in hopes of winning the BreakOut Award, a $5,000 no-strings-attached cash grant. Three growth stage outdoor product companies will pitch on stage for the Ready to Roll Award, a $10,000 no-strings-attached cash grant. New for 2019, both awards will be based on audience vote.
For the $5k BreakOut Award, early stage category, the finalists are:
AdvenChair (Bend, OR), an all-terrain, human-powered vehicle that allows people with mobility challenges to experience the serenity and grandeur of wild places with family and friends, comfortably traveling onto rugged trails, sand, and even snow. advenchair.com
Instinctive (Bend, OR), sustainable diaper pack brand that encourages parents to teach the value of conservation from the dawn of a child’s life.
Neo’Pros (Bend, OR), single unit prosthetic swim and athletic garment for breast cancer survivors.
For the $10k Ready To Roll Award, growth stage category, the finalists are:
Trew (Portland, OR), designers and manufacturers of apparel for backcountry skiing and snowboarding. trewgear.com
H and H Outfitter (Salem, OR), designers of STLHD and CINDER gear brand clothing - outdoor, lifestyle apparel with a focus on inclusivity, bold designs and styles frequently seen in the fishing and hunting outdoor lifestyle segment. hhoutfitter.com

Accompanying the pitches will be guest speaker, Mickey Wilson, a professional slacklining athlete, and other entertainment. The event will kick off with an outside expo featuring trickline demos, outdoor company displays, music, and 10 Barrel beer.
BOW BreakOut is presented by Northline Wealth Management, HydroFlask, Ten Barrel Brewing, Ruffwear, First Interstate Bank, Toyko Starfish, District 2, Price Fronk, White Summers Law, BBSI, and Business Oregon.
