Platform Capital Commits to Latin America based venture capital fund, Angel Ventures Pacific Alliance Fund II.

Lagos and Mexico City, 31st December 2020. - Platform Capital (Platform) is pleased to announce its commitment to Angel Ventures Pacific Alliance Fund II (AVPAF II) to invest in early stage to early-growth technology companies in Latin America and selectively across other geographies. The fund will target Seed and Series A opportunities that possess innovative business models tailored for the Latin American market to create pan-regional companies. As part of this commitment, Dr. Akintoye Akindele, Chairman of Platform Capital, joins the Investment Committee as an observer and Platform Capital becomes Angel Ventures strategic partner in Africa.
AVPAF II has also secured commitments from a strong and diverse pool of global LPs that include Inter-American Development Bank, Korea Venture Investment Corporation, Bancoldex, Nacional Financiera, Mexico Ventures, Nestle and FOCIR. AVPAF II has already deployed capital into 10 companies operating across 13 countries.
