Silicon Valley News - August

There are several changes in the wind – all good.   First, our Bay Area team now has a deeper bench with the return of Nishtha Kishore and addition of Alex Wu to our offices in the Valley and SF.   Then of course is the new exterior paint job on the White Summers Building in Redwood City.   Its strikingly modernistic and pretty darn cool if you haven’t seen it yet.   Next up is the redo of our interior (now underway) with a new white/black paint combination paired with a scheduled redo of all bathrooms with modern slate tiles and lighting.    Our contractors are loving us right now.

And why all of this you may ask?   Because of the December launch of our “Africa House” initiative in December!    Mark just returned from Capetown, S.Africa this past week with Paul Kallmes, CEO of WhiteSpace X – where we have planted our 2nd flag on the African continent.   First in Lagos in June and now in Capetown at the SA Innovation Conference.   We have company delegations from one Capetown VC and one accelerator going through our inaugural program in November – and a big launch bash to be at our new space in December.   

We’ve always been international and cutting edge on the deals and ideas we put in place with all of you.   Africa is the next frontier and we’re first in!    Stay tuned for more on this as we figure all of this out and in the meantime, see the pics below on all of the above....with lots more where these came from.    You are all partners with us in this journey to bring legal excellence to new markets.  Thanks as always for being members of our community!
